Te Tuna Taone Urban Eel

We went to the Heathcote river because we are learning about water. We learnt to check if the water was clean or not. We got water bugs into certain groups. If there were lots of water bugs it was clean. If there were not very many water bugs the water was not clean.  do you know rubbish gets into Rivers.

There was 5 teams. I was in team 3.  There was five activities. 3 instructors from the eel team and the other where rne by Mr G Mrs W and Mrs O and parent helpers. We walked from school and back.

It  was fun but we had to get back to school.  At school we rolled out a piece of paper and layed on the ground and wrote stuff down about what we learnt.

Inquiry

In inquiry we have being learning about Eel’s. Eels are interesting.S ome people say Eel are slimy and gross. T he slimy sales Eel’s are in danger. OLA School is helping the Eel’s I am working with Milan and Xhin. Our topic is dams are b Eel'blocking the Eel’s way.We finish that topic now so we are going to put paint stencils around the drains

Term 2 Highlighlights

St Teresa’s catholic day  One day O.L.A School went to St Teresa's. We took a school Bus. the Bus said O.L.A School. When we got there we went into the hall and put our bags down and went to the courts. We got sorted into groups and went in our groups to play games. Moning tea time they have scooters, skateboards, and bikes. Afer that we played a game. When we left they gave us a chocolate egg. Winter sport  Winer spot is like after School sport so at the start of the term we pick out of hockey, rugby, netball, and soccer. I pike Soccer. Our team lost every one of our games.
